Configuration

JXTA Peer configuration

If a peer wants to join the JDukeBox group, it must be able to discover all other peers. To do so, it must know who is the JXTA RDV we're using. This must be configured within JXTA. If you are using IPv6, you cannot use directly the address in the configuration, the hostname must be used. Therefore, you have to add a line in the filte "/etc/hosts" with the JXTa RDV host, namely azenar in our example.

Once this is done, the configuration is describe in the following figure.

JDukeBox JXTA Peer

If you're running JDukeBox on a multihomed host, you can specify explicitely the address to use. This mandatory when running the application on a Mobile Node, you MUST use the address corresponding to your home network, otherwise the application won't work after roaming.

Finally, if the host on which the application is run is a Mobile Node, before launching the application, you MUST put the Mobile IPv6 tunnel as default interface for multicast packets (matching ff00::/8)
